I am breaking my silence for this:

Volunteer rescue workers in the village of Tignoan, on Real's outskirts, said they had unearthed 97 bloated bodies so far from a beach house that was buried by a mudslide on Monday.

More than 100 residents had sought refuge there to escape the rising floodwaters.

Check all articles in PDI.

Please do your share in helping others. A can of sardines, a cup of rice, small really, but it will be highly appreciated than any forwarded text message.

Say farewell dear blog. I'm really not in the mood for you right now. To think you will be celebrating your first birthday tomorrow.

Farewell folks, watch out for the most thoughtless and most useless blog in Makati.

What is it with me and the left speaker of my earphones.

My two-week old yellow old school (read walkman days) earphones from Landmark (worth P80) is already busted. Presently, Billy Corgan is singing only in my right earlobe. But if I tilt my head a bit to the left, he croons me to work. Should have bought the P20-worth earphones from 711. Drat.

Tagal ko na din hindi ini-play ang Buklod CD ko. Gusto nyong marinig?

Download Kanlungan, Tatsulok at Lea

BTW, malapit ng matapos ang Spanish Film Fest sa Greenbelt. Hanggang Biyernes na lang ata. Maganda ang The Other Side of the Bed (di ko maalala yung Span title), mabagal naman ang The City With No Limits (more or less ganito ang title). Ang maganda dito, P30 lang ang sine =) I'll try to post the week's sked here.

Report: No WMD stockpiles in Iraq

Saddam Hussein did not possess stockpiles of illicit weapons at the time of the U.S. invasion in March 2003 and had not begun any program to produce them, a CIA report concludes.

Ah…. Friday…. A day so very special to me, something that triggers strong emotions and promises; a day that brings both extreme happiness and sadness….

Ed and I met online. His username was simple, honest – Ed. Mine was more flirtatious, after recently being broken up by my seventh boyfriend. My username was Sexy Feline. Why he invited me into a private chatroom, he was never able to explain. He just said that my name sounded sad. Common, what a pick-up line I said.

The usual questions were asked. ASOL. Chatroom frequency. Got any boyfriend/girlfriend. Ideal wife/husband. Common questions, yes I know. But it was his answers that made me miss chatting with him during office hours. You see, in our company, we are only allowed to log-in in the Internet every Friday from 3:30pm to 5:30pm. Work efficiency management said.

Since we do not have a PC at home, I made use of that free online 120 minutes as much as I can.

Chatting with Ed every Friday for four months was something I looked forward to, from 5:31pm Friday to next Friday’s 3:29pm. I anticipated for his username to pop up more than my paycheck. A reward for a week’s work. A balm to prepare me for the weekend.

As what online relationships usually go, we became attracted to each other and wanted to meet in person. I demurred. I wasn’t sexy, and I was more definitely not a ferocious feline as I wanted to project in the chatroom. I am simple office girl – blouse, pants and flat shoes. Sometimes (usually on Fridays), I wear a skirt; thinking that this will make me appear a tad more pretty than in real life.

And so we chatted, Ed and I, for four months, without even meeting. After pestering me for an EB for two consecutive Fridays, he finally stopped. He got the message that what I wanted was for this online thingie to remain online. And we continued to share jokes, rants against our respective bosses and officemates, irate FX drivers and missing effect of our taxes. As cliché-ish as it may sound, I bared my soul to him. And I would like to think that he did too.

On our 18th Friday (corny I know, I counted them), he didn’t sign-in as usual at 3:30pm. I waited until 5:30, during which I checked my emails, read INQ7.net and read other blogs. I shut off my PC sadly at 5:30pm. No pop up announcing him.

Sadly, the same thing happened the next Friday - he didn’t sign-in.

It has already been a year since our last chat (our 17th Friday) and here I am at the office online till 5:30pm. Pitiful? I know…..

Hay.... mga tao nga naman....

From a PDI article on the escort service scandal:

Reeves, who gave her real name as "Janette Derecho," said she did not mean to make trouble for the lawmakers; she just wanted to straighten out her life.

Whatever ineng, whatever....
